Labels and Box Tops

To those of you saving box tops and labels for our school, these will be submitted for payment at the end of the school year.  If possible, we would appreciate you sending your box tops and labels to school by May 18th so we can get them counted.  If you forget, there is always next year, but Labels for Education is matching a point for each point we collect if we turn them in by the end of the month.  Just a reminder, Dyer's is not participating in the receipt program this year, so you don't have to turn those in.

We have just discovered another way to support our school through the Labels for Education program.  First, if you are a Dillon's shopper and have a rewards card, you can go to www.elabelsforeducation.com and register your Dillon's/Kroger card # so that all of the 'Labels for Education' products you purchase automatically give you points for your school/schools (you can actually specify that you want 50% to go to one school and 50% to go to a different school if you have kids in multiple schools).  This basically earns double the points for the school if you also clip the physical labels from the product!

You can also sign in at www.btfe.com to get points for online shopping at over 100 different participating retailers.  There is a place to register for online shopping, as well as to select the school(s) you want your points to go.  The list of supporting stores is quite long!   At the BTFE site, the teachers can "register" for supplies. We can earn cash back by shopping online at Land's End, Old Navy, Cabela's, Target, etc.  We can also earn cash back shopping in the Reading Room at Barnes & Noble, and parents can check the progress of how much your chosen school (four in Wamego...Middle, West, Central and then USD 320) has earned of their goal.  By the way, West had a goal of $500 and has met $582.

Finally, don’t forget that we are collecting glue sticks (any brand) and Elmer’s glue bottles for recycling, as well as any Frito brand chip bag (empty).  Our school earns money through these recycling programs that turn trash into treasure!

If you have any questions regarding our label saving efforts at West Elementary School, please feel free to contact Angie Matthews at angieben@wamego.net or 456-7527.

Thanks to all of you that help our school in this way, and thank you to Angie Matthews and Stacie Jones for chairing the label saving committee this year at West!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Flinn & West PTO
