Time for Kids Magazine Opportunity

Dear West Elementary Parents,
Our school has the opportunity to receive Time for Kids, a high quality children's magazine, for free!  We participated in this project last year and were able to provide a Time for Kids subscription to all of our students this year.  We use this resource in Shared Reading classes and to support learning about current events in Social Studies classes.

Your child will be bringing home a parent letter explaining the program.  All our students have to do is fill out a booklet with 7 names and valid addresses, and we will receive two subscriptions for West students for next year for EACH completed booklet.  The company that sponsors this program is very reliable and they WILL NOT sell or provide these addresses to any other company!  The individuals listed in the booklets the students fill out will receive ONE mailing and have the opportunity to purchase a variety of magazines.  Let me emphasize that there is NO obligation for the individual to purchase anything!  So long as the booklets are filled out with 7 names and addresses, we will receive the 2 subscriptions for Time for Kids for our students.

To encourage our students to participate, we will be giving away "duck key chains" for every student that returns a completed booklet.  The students will also receive "duck food" (tootsie pop lollipops) the second day that we run this promotion.  We will begin the promotion on Wednesday, March 2.  Students should bring their completed booklets to the table/staff located in the atrium area of our main concourse.
Again, addresses will NOT be sold or given to any other company and those listed in the booklet will receive a ONE TIME mailing offering them to buy magazines.  NO purchase is necessary for us to receive the Time for Kids subscriptions.
