Cans for Conservation kick-off was today!
We have set a goal for each West student to collect at least two pounds of aluminum (approximately 64 cans) from now until Monday, April 11. You can bring clean, crushed aluminum cans to West Elementary throughout the week. Please bag your cans and place them next to the brown shed on the side of the building. Do not place them near the trash receptacles as they will be mistaken for garbage. Sunset Zoo will pick up the aluminum on Mondays at the school until the end of the program. If more convenient, you may drop your cans off at Howie's Recycling in Manhattan anytime. Please specify that they are to go to the Sunset Zoo/West account.
West Elementary won the aluminum can drive last year and had a special assembly by Sunset Zoo. for their efforts. Please help us again this year.
