This is just a reminder to be collecting aluminum for West Elementary's aluminum can drive. Sunset Zoo visits West students every Monday and talks to your students about animals and conservation. In return, we collect aluminum to help with the various programs and facilities at Sunset Zoo. Our goal is to collect 608 lbs. of aluminum by Monday, April 11. Our first week we collected 61 lbs. so we have a long ways to go to reach our goal.
Please bag your cans and place them next to the brown shed on the side of West.. You can do this any day/time of the week. Do not place your bags of cans near the trash receptacles as they will be mistaken for garbage. Sunset Zoo will pick up the aluminum on Mondays at the school until April 11. If more convenient, you may drop your cans off at Howie's Recycling in Manhattan anytime. Please specify that they are to go to the Sunset Zoo/West account.
